## New features

### Separate Code Mode tool permissions

Control tool access independently for direct calls and Code Mode batches.

**How to use:** Open `/settings` → Tools → Code Mode → **Manage Code Mode tools**. Enable or disable built-in and approved MCP tools for global or project scope, then save and restart. Direct-call exclusions remain separate. A project `capabilities.tools.code_mode.disabled` list of `[]` overrides global exclusions. Existing approval and agent restrictions still apply.

### Code Mode budget inspection

Code Mode scripts can check remaining call, result-byte, runtime, memory, and history allowances with `tools.budget()`.

**How to use:** Call `tools.budget()` before starting another work unit and reserve calls for saving progress. Execution budgets reset with each batch; session-history space remains shared. After batch-history exhaustion, split remaining work into another call. After session-history exhaustion, compact before continuing. Completed actions remain applied after interruption.

## Fixes

- Restore existing session access for listing, preview, resume, export, append, compaction, permission repair, and pruning.
- Restore release-note mouse-wheel scrolling and read tracking with pinned panels. Partially read notes remain unread.
- Resume automatically after agent-requested compaction following an incomplete or reasoning-only response.
- Preserve specific Code Mode termination causes and provide recovery instructions.

## Other changes

- Explicit model and thinking choices now belong to each saved session rather than changing global defaults. Use `/model` and reasoning controls near the prompt; resume restores saved choices when available. `/new` restores startup defaults.
- Increase Code Mode defaults to 200 inner calls and 8 MiB batch history, with a 32 MiB nested session-history allowance and 64 MiB replay ceiling.
- Reorganize internal modules and tests; refresh documentation.
