# magi-code 0.83.0
## New features
- Run `/system-prompt` to inspect ordered source cards with per-section token estimates. Scroll with arrows or Page Up/Down; close with Esc or `q`. Estimates are local, not billing counts.
- Ask the assistant to delegate with `mode: "inspect"` for read-only discovery. It permits local reads, searches, and AST inspection, but blocks edits, shell commands, tests, network tools, MCP, and nested delegation. Implementation requires a separate authorized standard task. This is not an OS sandbox; configured hooks remain separately trusted.
- Press Ctrl-J to insert a newline in the main prompt or subagent steering editor. Shift-Enter and Ctrl-Enter also work when the terminal preserves modifiers.
## Fixes
- Preserve Codex routing across retries and tool continuations, with automatic isolation between turns, child sessions, and accounts. Cache hits are not guaranteed.
- Retain file-mutation evidence through restores, compaction, and resume, including partial edits. Shell effects and complete restoration remain unverified.
- Preserve delegated tasks, restrictions, and acknowledged steering across compaction and resume.
## Other changes
- **Breaking:** `bash`, `shell`, and `cmd` calls require a nonblank `intent`, displayed above the command. Manual `!` commands supply it automatically; older transcript entries remain readable.
- Automatically record local Codex request-prefix and timing diagnostics without saving raw routing values or fingerprint salts.
