Expand description

The curves and reference quantities produced by RocketGeometry::analyze.

Fields§

§cd_vs_mach: Vec<(f64, f64)>

Axial drag coefficient vs Mach (subsonic, clamped above Mach 1).

§cna_vs_mach: Vec<(f64, f64)>

Normal-force coefficient slope per radian vs Mach (nose + fin set).

§cp_vs_mach: Vec<(f64, f64)>

Centre of pressure, metres aft of the nose tip, vs Mach.

§induced_k_vs_mach: Vec<(f64, f64)>

Induced-drag factor per radian² vs Mach (normal-force tilt: k = Cnα).

§ref_area_m2: f64

Reference area, π/4·d² of the largest diameter.

§total_length_m: f64

Total aerodynamic length (nose + tube).

§max_diameter_m: f64

Largest body diameter.

Source

pub fn forces(&self, wind_mps: Vec3) -> Result<BallisticForces>

Drag + atmosphere + body lift for this geometry in the given wind.

Source

pub fn weathercock_params( &self, cg_dry_m: f64, cg_prop_m: f64, pitch_inertia_kg_m2: f64, ) -> Result<WeathercockParams>

Weathercock parameters for this geometry.
