# Monitor Releases

The `check` command monitors package repositories for new releases and notifies your team.

## Define sources to monitor

In `adnv.yml`:

```yaml
version: 1
check:
  sources:
    - label: My Library
      source: git+https://github.com/org/my-library
    - label: Redis Image
      source: docker+https://docker.io/library/redis
    - label: Nginx Chart
      source: helm+https://helm.nginx.com/stable#name=nginx-ingress
```

## Filter by time window

Check for releases in the last 24 hours:

```shell
adnv check --last 24h
```

Check since a specific date:

```shell
adnv check --since 2024-01-01T00:00:00Z
```

Supported duration formats: `30m`, `12h`, `7days`, `2weeks`, `1month`.

## Filter by version pattern

Include only stable releases:

```shell
adnv check --last 7days --include "^\d+\.\d+\.\d+$"
```

Exclude release candidates:

```shell
adnv check --last 7days --exclude "rc|alpha|beta"
```

## Send to output backends

```shell
# Console only (default)
adnv check --last 24h
# Mattermost
adnv check --last 24h --output mattermost
# Multiple outputs
adnv check --last 24h --output mattermost --output mail
```

## Pass sources as CLI arguments

Without a config file:

```shell
adnv check --last 7days git+https://github.com/rust-lang/rust docker+https://docker.io/library/nginx
```
