Expand description

Metadata actor admission limits and legacy blocking-lane fields.

The actor owns its admission bounds, max_pending_operations and max_pending_bytes. The shared blocking lane policy owns lane capacity, phase timeouts, and the warn threshold, so the three blocking_* fields are accepted for source compatibility and never override the lane. MetadataIoActor::effective_profile reports the value that applies to each one.

Fields§

§max_pending_operations: usize

The max pending operations value.

§max_pending_bytes: usize

The max pending size in bytes.

§blocking_queue_timeout: Duration

Legacy lane queue wait, retained for source compatibility.

The shared blocking lane policy owns the queue wait in force, so this value does not change admission. Use MetadataWriteRequest::with_lane_deadline to tighten a single request.

§blocking_task_timeout: Duration

Legacy lane execution budget, retained for source compatibility.

The shared blocking lane policy owns the execution budget in force, so this value does not bound a running write. It is still validated for compatibility with existing configuration literals.

§blocking_warn_after: Duration

Legacy lane warn threshold, retained for source compatibility.

The warn threshold belongs to the shared blocking lane policy, so this value is never emitted.

Implementations§

Source§

impl MetadataIoConfig

Source

pub fn validate(&self) -> Result<(), RuntimeContractViolation>

Validates bounded metadata actor configuration before startup.

The zero blocking_task_timeout check is retained for compatibility with existing configuration literals, even though the field does not drive execution.

§Errors

Returns a deterministic contract violation when an admission bound or blocking duration is invalid. This method performs no I/O.

Source

pub fn into_plan(self) -> Result<MetadataIoPlan, RuntimeContractViolation>

Creates a validated metadata actor startup plan.

§Errors

Returns a deterministic contract violation when an admission bound or blocking duration is invalid.
