MetadataIoPlan

Struct MetadataIoPlan

Source
pub struct MetadataIoPlan { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Metadata actor settings that passed deterministic admission validation.

Implementations§

Source§

impl MetadataIoPlan

Source

pub fn with_max_concurrent_writes(self, writes: NonZeroUsize) -> Self

Lets the actor write up to writes different resources at the same time.

The default is one: resources are written one after another, so one slow write delays every other resource of the actor. A larger value lets independent resources proceed while a write is slow. Generations of one resource are still written one at a time and in order, and its queued generations still coalesce. The actor never runs more writes than the shared metadata lane admits at once; MetadataIoActor::effective_profile reports the value in force.

Source

pub fn start( self, service_context: &ChildServiceContext, ) -> RuntimeResult<MetadataIoActor>

Starts the validated actor with the production filesystem.

§Errors

Returns an operational lifecycle error when the owned coordinator cannot start.

Source

pub fn start_with_file_system( self, service_context: &ChildServiceContext, file_system: Arc<dyn MetadataFileSystem>, ) -> RuntimeResult<MetadataIoActor>

Starts the validated actor with an injected filesystem implementation.

§Errors

Returns an operational lifecycle error when the owned coordinator cannot start.
