Plan

Struct Plan

Source
pub struct Plan {
    pub source: Vec<SourceStream>,
    pub source_format: Option<String>,
    pub targets: Vec<Target>,
}
Expand description

What the engine can produce from one input: every writable container, best first.

Fields§

§source: Vec<SourceStream>

The input streams the plan was computed for.

§source_format: Option<String>

Short name of the input container, when the caller knew it.

§targets: Vec<Target>

Every container that can be written, ordered by plan’s ranking.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Plan

Source

pub fn to_json(&self) -> String

Render the whole plan as JSON: the source streams, then every target.

Shape (stable; new fields may be added):

{"source_format":"mp4",
 "source":[{"index":0,"type":"video","codec":"h264"}],
 "targets":[{"format":"mp4","extension":"mp4","extensions":["mp4"],
             "long_name":"...","kind":"video","fidelity":"copy",
             "summary":"h264 copy (copy)","args":["-c:v","copy"],
             "notes":[],
             "streams":[{"input_index":0,"type":"video","from":"h264",
                         "action":"copy"}]}]}
Source§

impl Plan

Source

pub fn stream_copies(&self) -> impl Iterator<Item = &Target>

The targets that need no re-encoding at all.

Source

pub fn of_kind(&self, kind: TargetKind) -> impl Iterator<Item = &Target>

Targets of one kind (all the image outputs, all the audio outputs, …).

Source

pub fn target(&self, format: &str) -> Option<&Target>

Look one target up by its format name ("webm").
