Expand description

One output container the engine can write for this input.

Fields§

§format: &'static str

Format name as -f takes it (mp4, matroska, yuv4mpegpipe).

§long_name: &'static str§extension: &'static str

The extension to offer by default (the format’s first).

§extensions: &'static [&'static str]

Every extension that selects this format.

§kind: TargetKind§streams: Vec<StreamPlan>

What happens to each input stream, in input order.

§fidelity: Fidelity§notes: Vec<String>

Anything a caller should say out loud before writing this: dropped streams, still-image truncation, generation loss, multi-file output.

§args: Vec<String>

A ready-to-run argument list, minus the input and output paths: ["-c:v", "copy", "-c:a", "opus"]. Goes between -i <input> and the output path.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Target

Source

pub fn to_json(&self) -> String

Render one target as a JSON object.

Source§

impl Target

Source

pub fn kept(&self) -> impl Iterator<Item = &StreamPlan>

Streams that survive into the output.

Source

pub fn dropped(&self) -> impl Iterator<Item = &StreamPlan>

Streams the container forces us to leave behind.

Source

pub fn stream_summary(&self) -> String

What happens to the streams: "h264 copy + aac->opus".

Source

pub fn summary(&self) -> String

stream_summary plus the fidelity verdict: "h264 copy + aac->opus (lossy)".

Source

pub fn command(&self, input: &str, output_stem: &str) -> String

The full command a user would run, given concrete paths.
