Maintains a rolling latency window and adaptively tunes Kademlia alpha.

Thread Safety

The scheduler is designed for concurrent use. alpha uses an AtomicU32 for lock-free reads while window is protected by a Mutex.

Create a new scheduler with alpha = ALPHA_DEFAULT and an empty window.

Record a single lookup latency sample.

The sample is appended to the sliding window; the oldest sample is evicted when the window is full. After updating the window, Self::adjust is called to possibly update alpha.

pub fn current_alpha(&self) -> u32

Return the current alpha value.

pub fn stats(&self) -> LookupSchedulerStats

Return a statistics snapshot.
