Expand description

The block-level nodes.

This is the document tree TextView renders. Together with editor_host it is also the hand-over type for external editors: they build the tree, render it with BlockNode::render and read geometry back per leaf.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Implementations§

Source§

impl BlockNode

Source

pub fn render_with_id( &self, id: impl Into<ElementId>, flow: FlowPosition, render_context: &RenderContext, window: &mut Window, cx: &mut App, ) -> AnyElement

Renders under a stable host-owned identity. Use a domain ID, not a list position, when inserting, reordering or virtualizing blocks. Identity scopes GPUI element state independently of the leaf keys used for geometry.

Source

pub fn render( &self, ix: usize, flow: FlowPosition, cx: &RenderContext, window: &mut Window, app: &mut App, ) -> AnyElement

Renders the block as TextView does. ix identifies the block among its siblings (element ids derive from it).

Source§

impl BlockNode

Source

pub fn span(&self) -> Option<Span>

Get the span of the node.
