[][src]Struct gcode::Span

#[repr(C)]pub struct Span {
    pub start: usize,
    pub end: usize,
    pub line: usize,
}

A half-open range which indicates the location of something in a body of text.

Fields

start: usize

The byte index corresponding to the item's start.

end: usize

The index one byte past the item's end.

line: usize

The (zero-based) line number.

Methods

impl Span[src]

pub const PLACEHOLDER: Span[src]

A placeholder Span which will be ignored by Span::merge() and equality checks.

pub const fn new(start: usize, end: usize, line: usize) -> Self[src]

Create a new Span.

pub fn get_text<'input>(&self, src: &'input str) -> Option<&'input str>[src]

Get the string this Span corresponds to.

Passing in a different string will probably lead to... strange... results.

pub fn merge(self, other: Span) -> Span[src]

Merge two Spans, making sure Span::PLACEHOLDER spans go away.

pub fn is_placeholder(self) -> bool[src]

Is this a Span::PLACEHOLDER?
