# Rust .me Docs

These docs are specific to the Rust implementation of `.me`.

They are not the global `.me` theory docs and they are not TypeScript typedocs.
They document the Rust crate, its runtime host, CLI, contracts, benchmark shape,
and future integration path.

## Documentation Layers

```txt
me/docs/
  Global .me documentation. Language-agnostic concepts, axioms, syntax,
  examples, social graph, robots, cities, demos.
me/Typescript/typedocs/
  TypeScript implementation documentation generated and served with the
  TypeScript/VitePress stack.
me/Rust/docs/
  Manual Rust implementation documentation. This folder.
docs.rs/this-me
  Rust API reference generated by rustdoc from Rust source comments.
```

## docs.rs

`docs.rs` does not automatically read every Markdown file in this folder.
It builds the Rust crate with `rustdoc`.

The crate-level docs are wired from
[`API.md`](https://github.com/neurons-me/.me/blob/main/Rust/docs/API.md) through
`src/lib.rs`:

```rust
#![doc = include_str!("../docs/API.md")]
```

Public API pages then come from Rust doc comments on modules, structs, enums,
traits, and functions.
