## Summary

As of the latest test run, SolidMCP has **122 unit tests** that all pass successfully. The test suite covers critical areas of the MCP protocol implementation, transport negotiation, error handling, and session management.

## Test Categories

### 1. Protocol Implementation Tests
- **Location**: `src/tests/protocol_tests.rs`, `src/tests/protocol_parsing_tests.rs`
- **Coverage**: Core MCP protocol handling, message parsing, JSON-RPC compliance
- **Key Tests**:

## Recent Fixes Validated by Tests

1. **CORS Headers**: Added missing `access-control-max-age` header
   - Validated by: `test_cors_headers_generation`, `test_cors_options_request`

2. **Transport Endpoint Serialization**: Fixed JSON format to include `type` and `uri` fields
   - Validated by: `test_transport_info_serialization`, `test_curl_http_client_detection`, `test_websocket_client_transport_detection`

3. **Re-initialization Support**: Changed to allow session re-initialization
   - Validated by: `test_initialization_errors` (updated to expect success)

## Test Execution

## Coverage Gaps and Recommendations

1. **Integration Tests**: Some integration test files have compilation errors that need fixing
2. **WebSocket Upgrade**: Actual WebSocket upgrade functionality needs integration testing
3. **Progress Notifications**: While unit tested, needs end-to-end integration testing
4. **Resource System**: No tests found for resource listing/retrieval
5. **Prompt System**: No tests found for prompt functionality

## Test Quality Metrics

- **Total Unit Tests**: 122
- **Pass Rate**: 100% (all tests passing)
- **Test Organization**: Well-structured with clear categories
- **Test Independence**: Tests are properly isolated
- **Edge Case Coverage**: Good coverage of error conditions and edge cases
