## Executive Summary

This document summarizes the comprehensive test analysis, fixes, and improvements made to the SolidMCP codebase to achieve 100% test pass rate and enhance edge case handling.

## Initial State

- **Total Unit Tests**: 122
- **Failing Tests**: 7
- **Key Issues**:
  - Missing CORS headers
  - Incorrect transport endpoint JSON format
  - Outdated test expectations
  - No edge case coverage

## Fixes Applied

### 1. CORS Header Compliance
- **Problem**: Missing `access-control-max-age` header
- **Solution**: Added header to `cors_headers()` function
- **Files**: `src/transport.rs`
- **Tests Fixed**: 2

### 2. Transport Endpoint JSON Format
- **Problem**: Tests expected `type` and `uri` fields, but code provided `endpoint`, `method`, `description`
- **Solution**: Transformed JSON in `to_json()` to match expected format
- **Files**: `src/transport.rs`
- **Tests Fixed**: 3

### 3. HTTP POST CORS Headers
- **Problem**: POST responses missing CORS headers
- **Solution**: Added CORS headers to enhanced POST handler
- **Files**: `src/http.rs`
- **Tests Fixed**: 1

### 4. WebSocket Transport Discovery
- **Problem**: Returning 400 error for WebSocket upgrade requests
- **Solution**: Return 200 OK with transport info instead
- **Files**: `src/http.rs`
- **Tests Fixed**: 1

### 5. Test Expectation Updates
- **Problem**: Test expected error on re-initialization, but behavior changed to allow it
- **Solution**: Updated test to expect success and added new error case test
- **Files**: `src/tests/error_handling_tests.rs`
- **Impact**: Aligned tests with intended behavior

### 6. Edge Case Test Suite
- **Problem**: No tests for boundary conditions and unusual inputs
- **Solution**: Created comprehensive edge case test suite
- **Files**: `src/tests/edge_case_tests.rs`
- **Tests Added**: 7 new tests

1. `test_empty_and_null_parameters` - Validates missing/null parameter handling
2. `test_extreme_data_sizes` - Tests 1MB strings and 100-level nested objects
3. `test_unicode_and_special_characters` - Tests international characters and emojis
4. `test_malformed_jsonrpc_requests` - Tests protocol violation handling
5. `test_transport_edge_cases` - Tests conflicting headers and special URIs
6. `test_concurrent_message_handling` - Tests parallel request processing
7. `test_protocol_version_edge_cases` - Tests invalid version string handling
