## Test Maintenance

### Adding New Tests

1. Choose appropriate test module based on scope
2. Follow existing naming conventions
3. Use helper functions for common setup
4. Add documentation comments
5. Verify test passes and doesn't flake

### Test Naming Convention

```rust
#[test]
fn test_<component>_<behavior>() {
    // Arrange
    // Act
    // Assert
}
```

### Async Test Pattern

```rust
#[tokio::test]
async fn test_async_operation() {
    let backend = MemoryStateBackend::new(None);
    backend.put(b"key", b"value").await.unwrap();
    // ...
}
```

## Debugging Tests

### Run Single Test

```bash
cargo test --test stream_processor_tests test_specific_function -- --exact
### Show Test Output
```bash
cargo test --test stream_processor_tests -- --nocapture --test-threads=1
```
### Run with Logging
```bash
RUST_LOG=debug cargo test --test stream_processor_tests
