Expand description

Declares the 3D camera. One per scene.

Fields§

§fov_y_degrees: f32

Vertical field of view in degrees.

§near: f32

Near clip distance in world units.

§far: f32

Far clip distance in world units.

§view_matrix: [[f32; 4]; 4]

Current view matrix, written each step by the active camera system. Column-major, matching the GLSL mat4 convention.

§position: [f32; 3]

Current world-space eye position, kept in sync with view_matrix.

§yaw: f32

Current yaw in radians.

§pitch: f32

Current pitch in radians.

§desired_move: [f32; 3]

World-space horizontal movement intent (units/second). Written by Camera3DSystem each frame, consumed by PhysicsSystem. Runtime-only.

§jump_requested: bool

Set for one frame when the jump key is pressed. Runtime-only.

§interact_requested: bool

Set for one frame when the interact key is pressed. Runtime-only.

§controller: Option<CameraController>

Controller settings, or None for an uncontrolled (cutscene) camera. Read once by the internal camera controller at init.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Camera3D

Source

pub fn bake(args: Camera3DArgs) -> Camera3D

Translate the authored args into the runtime camera: compose the initial view matrix and zero the runtime state. Run by cook at build time (the baked blob record carries the result) and by tests that need a camera.

Trait Implementations§

Source§

impl Component for Camera3D

Source§

const NAME: &'static str = "Camera3D"

The registry name a world authors this component under.
Source§

fn from_baked(bytes: &[u8]) -> Result<Camera3D, CnResult>

Reconstruct this component from a blob record, whose bytes are the serialized runtime component (cook already ran the asset -> component translation). The default rejects: runtime-only components are never stored in a blob, so only loadable types provide an implementation.
Source§

fn inject_locator(&mut self, _locator: PayloadLocator)

Called after construction to inject the payload locator from the blob def. Only meaningful for components with a compiled payload. The default implementation does nothing (correct for most components).
Source§

fn inject_name(&mut self, _id: AssetId)

Called after construction to inject the asset’s identity from the blob def. Only meaningful for components that look themselves up by id at runtime. The default implementation does nothing.
Source§

impl ComponentSlot for Camera3D

Source§

const DISCRIMINANT: u8

The component type’s stable id, used as its ComponentId.
Source§

fn slot(s: &ComponentStorage) -> &Column<Camera3D>

Borrow this type’s column out of the storage.
Source§

fn slot_mut(s: &mut ComponentStorage) -> &mut Column<Camera3D>

Mutably borrow this type’s column out of the storage.
