Why a message was not sent.
Variants§
Empty
Address(String)
The recipient names no one (the reason).
Malformed
A field well_formed refuses: every reader would drop the line.
Window
The sender’s window to this recipient is full (window_for): outstanding of its messages there
are unread, as many as window allows, or, under pace Rate or Floor, V1_RATE_MS admits
the next one in wait ms. Also a message stamped before one already admitted that it would push
out (a clock that stepped back, a send that took the lock later). to as a command names it
(Address::name).
The sender’s unread messages to this recipient fill what the log keeps of its node’s messages
(MEMBER_BYTES): this one would push the oldest out before it is shown. to as a command names it.
Steer
A steer for another node from a node the held membership does not let steer (steer_right).
Reads
The recipient’s node reads message lines only up to format v (presence::reads, from its last
session with this node), older than this message’s: it would never be shown there, and as no one
there acknowledges it, it would hold the sender’s window (window_for) for TTL_MS. to as a
command names it.
