Re-export: the readiness-gate value types live in boatramp-types (shared between the manifest ApplyDatabase and this serving config), surfaced here for the ExternalDatabaseConfig::readiness_gate field. Per-surface readiness gate for a managed database (v0.45.0). Each surface defaults to ReadinessLevel::Provisioned; an operator may relax any one independently:

• answerability — gateway/internal-DNS: whether a replica is an answerable upstream.
• routing — the handler-runtime SQL connection: whether a request is routed to it.
• migration — operator sql exec / migrate / ensure-await (container-backed DBs).

Fields

answerability: ReadinessLevel

Gate for gateway/internal-DNS answerability. The strict default (Provisioned) is honored across all workloads today; per-DB relaxation to service_ready for this surface is a follow-up (the node-global DNS source must become config-aware first).

routing: ReadinessLevel

Gate for request-path handler SQL routing.

migration: ReadinessLevel

Gate for operator migration/ensure (container-backed DBs).
