RefineError

Enum RefineError

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum RefineError { RaggedIndices(usize), IndexOutOfRange(usize, u32), InvalidTarget(Scalar), SurfaceRefused(String), BudgetExceeded { produced: usize, limit: usize, }, }
Expand description

Why a refinement could not be performed.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

RaggedIndices(usize)

The index buffer is not a whole number of triangles.

§

IndexOutOfRange(usize, u32)

A triangle references a vertex that does not exist.

§

InvalidTarget(Scalar)

An edge-length target must be a positive, finite length.

§

SurfaceRefused(String)

A surface refused to place a projected vertex.

Propagated rather than absorbed. Falling back to the linear midpoint would return four times the triangles with none of the promised accuracy, and the caller could not tell the difference.

§

BudgetExceeded

Refinement would exceed the triangle budget.

Reported rather than silently truncated: a caller that asked for a 1mm edge on a building-sized model wants to know its request was impossible, not receive a partially refined mesh that looks fine.

Fields

§produced: usize

Triangles the request would have produced.

§limit: usize

The cap that was not raised.
