}Expand description
A rectangular container widget.
Paints a background rounded-rect (optional border), then lets the framework recurse into its children. Children are stacked bottom-to-top inside the padding area.
Fields§
§background: Color§border_color: Option<Color>§border_width: f64§corner_radius: f64§inner_padding: Insets§fit_height: boolWhen true, layout returns the content’s natural height + vertical
padding instead of the full available height. Off by default for
backward compatibility (callers that used Container as a fill-
parent decoration still work). Match egui’s Frame by opting in.
Implementations§
Source§impl Container
impl Container
Sourcepub fn with_fit_height(self, fit: bool) -> Self
pub fn with_fit_height(self, fit: bool) -> Self
Opt into content-fit height — [layout] returns
content_height + vertical_padding instead of the full
available height. Required when this Container sits inside
an auto-sized ancestor (e.g. Window::with_auto_size(true)),
which would otherwise pick up the full available height as
the container’s preferred size and inflate the window.

true, hit_test_subtree stops recursing into this widget’s
children and returns this widget as the hit target. Used for floating
overlays (e.g. a scrollbar painted above its content) that must claim
the pointer before children that happen to share the same pixels.
Default: false.Source§fn hit_test_global_overlay(&self, _local_pos: Point) -> bool
fn hit_test_global_overlay(&self, _local_pos: Point) -> bool

the inspector tree without providing user-relevant information and,
at scale, can make the inspector’s per-frame tree rebuild expensive.Source§fn lcd_preference(&self) -> Option<bool>

crate::widgets::Stack) call this on each
child at the start of layout(). A widget that returns true is
moved to the END of its parent’s child list — painted last, i.e.
raised to the top of the z-order. take_ semantics: the call is
also expected to clear the request so the child doesn’t keep
getting raised every frame. Read moreSource§fn needs_draw(&self) -> bool

The host loop turns a Some(t) into ControlFlow::WaitUntil(t) so
