What the user said in [daemon].enabled (or the auto default). zshrs-original — no C counterpart. C zsh has no daemon to enable.

Variants§

§

Auto

Probe at startup; use the daemon if alive (default).

§

Off

Skip the probe entirely; never talk to the daemon.

§

Require

Probe at startup; if the daemon isn’t alive, log a warning (still doesn’t spawn — that’s the user’s responsibility).
