Enum Shared

The flavour of a runtime that can be used from, and run on, any thread.

A shared runtime only runs Send futures. It keeps its state in Arc and Mutex. Its handles, and the tasks, timers and registrations built on it, are Send and Sync.

This is a marker type. It has no values, and is only used as a type parameter.
