A link to a zstd-compressed registry database (.zrepo) in a repository configuration.

A .zrepo is a zstd-compressed tar of the whole registry tree (repo.yaml, packages.json, every .pkg.lua and .sec.yaml). It replaces a Git clone as the way a client obtains registry content, which is much cheaper to download for a fully materialized snapshot.

Fields

link_type: String

The type of link (e.g. “main”).

url: String

The URL of the .zrepo archive.

control: Option<String>

Optional URL of the zsync control file describing the snapshot. When omitted, the control file is assumed to live at <url>.zsync.

A snapshot is transferred as a sequence of independently compressed frames, one per registry file, so that a client holding an older snapshot can recover the entries it already has and fetch only the rest. A registry that publishes no control file is still usable; the snapshot is simply downloaded whole.

pgp: Option<String>

Optional URL for PGP signature.

hash: Option<String>

Optional URL for checksum.

size: Option<String>

Optional URL for size information.
