Fields

name: String

Group name, e.g. awk.

link: String

Absolute path of the canonical link, e.g. /usr/bin/awk.

alternatives: Vec<Alternative>

Every registered implementation, in registration order.

link_set: Option<String>

Manually selected path, overriding priority selection.

Returns the implementation currently selected.

A manual override wins over priority, because that is the whole point of setting one. When the override names something that is no longer registered it is ignored rather than producing a dangling symlink.

Returns the state of an alternative, for reporting.
