Expand description

What one resolve did — the audit line’s numbers, all applied output.

Fields§

§rows: u64§reinflations: u64

Bases dropped for the ceiling and inflated again for a later dependent.

§evictions: u64

Bases dropped for the ceiling (each may cost 0..n re-inflations).

§watchdog_drops: u64

Bases dropped because the watchdog said the box was short.

§peak_base_bytes: u64

Most bytes of bases held at once.

§pauses: u64

Watchdog pauses inside this pass.

§paused_ms: u64§batches: u64

Row batches handed to the sink.

§stalls: u64

Times a worker waited for the ordered stream instead of running further ahead of it. A positive number is the lookahead ceiling doing its job; a large one beside a poor speed-up is the ceiling being the bottleneck.

§workers: u32

How many subtrees were walked at once. 1 is the serial resolver.

§shed: u64

Times a worker gave its core back because the box was short of memory rather than pausing the whole pack. See Round::checkpoint.

§gave_up: bool

The watchdog gave up rather than resumed — the pass is being failed by name. See ResolveError::out_of_memory.

Implementations§

Source§

impl ResolveReport

Source

pub fn absorb(&mut self, r: ResolveReport)

Fold one round’s numbers into the pack’s. Sums, and the two extremes taken as extremes — a merge that does not depend on which worker produced what, so the audit line is the same at any worker count.
