POSIX-shaped attributes; plain data record everywhere.

Fields§

§ino: u64

Stable inode number (ZeroFS never reuses inode ids).

§file_type: FileType

File type.

§mode: u32

Full st_mode (type bits + permission bits).

§nlink: u64

Hard-link count.

§uid: u32

Owner uid.

§gid: u32

Owner gid.

§size: u64

Size in bytes.

§block_size: u64

Preferred I/O block size reported by the server.

§blocks: u64

Number of 512-byte blocks allocated.

§rdev: u64

Device id for char/block nodes; 0 otherwise.

§atime: Timestamp

Last access time.

§mtime: Timestamp

Last modification time.

§ctime: Timestamp

Last status-change time.

§btime: Timestamp

RESERVED. The wire carries a creation time, but current ZeroFS servers always report 0 (the epoch). Do not display as a real birth time yet.

§data_version: u64

RESERVED. The wire carries a content-change counter, but current ZeroFS servers always report 0; do NOT build cache invalidation on it. For change detection today, use mtime.
