An expression, with the one property the walk’s seams cannot carry: whether it is the pointer field an @optional member lives behind.

Only CodecTarget::optional_destination produces the marked form and only CodecTarget::read_call and CodecTarget::store act on it; every other constructor passes the inner expression through.

Variants

Plain(Expr)

An ordinary expression.

OptionalSlot(Expr)

The *T-typed field of an @optional member, as a place a decoded T is about to be written into.
