#[non_exhaustive]pub enum BackendPreference {
Auto,
Cuda,
Vulkan,
Avx2,
Cpu,
}Expand description
Explicit backend preference passed to DeviceBackend::from_preference.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Auto
Try CUDA → Vulkan → AVX2 → CPU in order (same as auto_detect).
Cuda
Require CUDA; error if not compiled in or no CUDA GPU available.
Vulkan
Require Vulkan; error if not compiled in or no Vulkan GPU available.
Avx2
Require AVX2; error if not compiled in or CPU lacks AVX2 support.
Cpu
Always use the scalar CPU path.
