Variants

Pass

SoftFail

Score in [hard_fail_threshold, threshold): summary is borderline. Proceed with compaction but log a warning.

HardFail

Score < hard_fail_threshold: summary lost critical facts. Block compaction.

Error

Transport/timeout failure — no quality score produced.
