Classification of a context segment for compaction purposes.

The variant determines which PageInvariant is enforced and what shape the compacted summary must have.

Invariant

Every TypedPage carries exactly one PageType. Unclassifiable segments default to PageType::ConversationTurn (see classify).

Variants

ToolOutput

A tool request/response pair sourced from memory or the current turn.

ConversationTurn

A user or assistant message that does not carry a tool role.

MemoryExcerpt

Cross-session context, past summaries, or graph-fact recall injections.

SystemContext

Session digest, persona, skill instructions, or compression guidelines.
