StreamingProcess

Struct StreamingProcess

Source
pub struct StreamingProcess { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A long-running child process controllable via stdin or kill.

Used for FFmpeg-based live recording where the process runs indefinitely until explicitly stopped.

Implementations§

Source§

impl StreamingProcess

Source

pub async fn stop(&mut self) -> Result<ProcessOutput>

Sends q to stdin to trigger a graceful FFmpeg quit, then waits for exit.

§Errors

Returns an error if writing to stdin or waiting fails.

Source

pub async fn kill(&mut self) -> Result<()>

Forcefully kills the process.

§Errors

Returns an error if the kill signal cannot be sent.

Source

pub async fn wait(&mut self) -> Result<ProcessOutput>

Waits for the process to exit and collects output.

§Errors

Returns an error if waiting for the process fails.

Trait Implementations§

Source§

impl Drop for StreamingProcess

Available on crate feature live-recording only.
Source§

fn drop(&mut self)

Executes the destructor for this type. Read more
Source§

fn pin_drop(self: Pin<&mut Self>)

🔬This is a nightly-only experimental API. (pin_ergonomics)
Execute the destructor for this type, but different to Drop::drop, it requires self to be pinned. Read more

impl<T> Downcast for T
where T: Any,

Source§

fn into_any(self: Box<T>) -> Box<dyn Any>

Converts Box<dyn Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Box<dyn Any>, which can then be downcast into Box<dyn ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.
Source§

fn into_any_rc(self: Rc<T>) -> Rc<dyn Any>

Converts Rc<Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Rc<Any>, which can then be further downcast into Rc<ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.
Source§

fn as_any(&self) -> &(dyn Any + 'static)

Converts &Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &Any’s vtable from &Trait’s.
Source§

fn as_any_mut(&mut self) -> &mut (dyn Any + 'static)

Converts &mut Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &mut Any’s vtable from &mut Trait’s.
