Interop

Struct Interop

Source
pub struct Interop { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Safe wrapper around the runtime’s inter-mod symbol table.

Returned by Registry::interop.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Interop

Source

pub unsafe fn export(&self, symbol: &str, ptr: *const c_void)

Export a function pointer under symbol for the current mod.

The mod’s ID is automatically determined from the manifest (passed to yog_mod_register by the runtime).

§Safety

ptr must point to a valid function of the ABI expected by whoever later imports and calls it under this symbol.

Source

pub unsafe fn import_raw( &self, mod_id: &str, symbol: &str, ) -> Option<*const c_void>

Import a function pointer exported by mod_id under symbol.

Use the qualified form "mod_id:symbol":

ⓘ
let ptr: *const c_void = interop.import("other_mod:register_thing").unwrap();

Returns None if the symbol has not been exported (yet).

§Safety

The returned pointer, if any, must be cast back to the exact function signature the exporting mod registered it under before being called.

Source

pub unsafe fn import(&self, qualified: &str) -> Option<*const c_void>

Convenience: parse "mod_id:symbol" and import.

§Safety

Same requirement as Interop::import_raw.
