#[non_exhaustive]pub enum ConversionError {
OutOfRange {
value: String,
target: &'static str,
},
NotFinite {
value: f64,
},
}Expand description
Error returned when a Number cannot be converted into a fixed-size
numeric type because the value falls outside that type’s representable range.
This was Eq in 0.2.0 and is not any more: ConversionError::NotFinite
carries an f64, which is not Eq, and no manual implementation could
honestly supply one. PartialEq is unchanged, so == still works — only
an Eq bound stops compiling. The loss is declared in the README’s
migration table, which is where the 0.3.0 CHANGELOG is written from.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
OutOfRange
The value does not fit in the requested target type.
Fields
NotFinite
The value is NaN or infinite, which has no rational representation.
