FailureReason

Enum FailureReason

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum FailureReason { ReferenceDigestMismatch { ref_index: usize, }, ReferencePolicyViolation { ref_index: usize, }, ReferenceProcessingFailure { ref_index: usize, }, SignatureMismatch, KeyNotFound, }
Expand description

Why XMLDSig verification failed.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

ReferenceDigestMismatch

<DigestValue> mismatch for a <Reference> at ref_index.

Fields

§ref_index: usize

Zero-based index of the failing <Reference> in its processed set.

On per-reference verification entries, use ReferenceResult::reference_set to distinguish the <SignedInfo> and <Manifest> reference sets.

When this reason appears in VerifyResult::status without an accompanying ReferenceResult, ref_index always refers to the <SignedInfo> reference set.

§

ReferencePolicyViolation

<Reference> rejected by URI/transform allowlist policy.

Fields

§ref_index: usize

Zero-based index of the failing <Reference> in its processed set.

§

ReferenceProcessingFailure

<Reference> processing failed (dereference, transform, missing URI).

Fields

§ref_index: usize

Zero-based index of the failing <Reference> in its processed set.

§

SignatureMismatch

<SignatureValue> does not match canonicalized <SignedInfo>.

§

KeyNotFound

No verification key was configured or could be resolved.
