[−]Struct x86_64::structures::gdt::DescriptorFlags
Flags for a GDT descriptor. Not all flags are valid for all descriptor types.
Methods
impl DescriptorFlags
pub const WRITABLE: DescriptorFlags
For data segments, this flag sets the segment as writable. Ignored for code segments.
pub const CONFORMING: DescriptorFlags
Marks a code segment as “conforming”. This influences the privilege checks that occur on control transfers.
pub const EXECUTABLE: DescriptorFlags
This flag must be set for code segments.
pub const USER_SEGMENT: DescriptorFlags
This flag must be set for user segments (in contrast to system segments).
pub const PRESENT: DescriptorFlags
Must be set for any segment, causes a segment not present exception if not set.
pub const LONG_MODE: DescriptorFlags
Must be set for long mode code segments.
pub const DPL_RING_3: DescriptorFlags
The DPL for this descriptor is Ring 3
pub const fn empty() -> DescriptorFlags
Returns an empty set of flags
pub const fn all() -> DescriptorFlags
Returns the set containing all flags.
pub const fn bits(&self) -> u64
Returns the raw value of the flags currently stored.
pub fn from_bits(bits: u64) -> Option<DescriptorFlags>
Convert from underlying bit representation, unless that representation contains bits that do not correspond to a flag.
pub const fn from_bits_truncate(bits: u64) -> DescriptorFlags
Convert from underlying bit representation, dropping any bits that do not correspond to flags.
pub const unsafe fn from_bits_unchecked(bits: u64) -> DescriptorFlags
Convert from underlying bit representation, preserving all bits (even those not corresponding to a defined flag).
pub const fn is_empty(&self) -> bool
Returns true
if no flags are currently stored.
pub const fn is_all(&self) -> bool
Returns true
if all flags are currently set.
pub const fn intersects(&self, other: DescriptorFlags) -> bool
Returns true
if there are flags common to both self
and other
.
pub const fn contains(&self, other: DescriptorFlags) -> bool
Returns true
all of the flags in other
are contained within self
.
pub fn insert(&mut self, other: DescriptorFlags)
Inserts the specified flags in-place.
pub fn remove(&mut self, other: DescriptorFlags)
Removes the specified flags in-place.
pub fn toggle(&mut self, other: DescriptorFlags)
Toggles the specified flags in-place.
pub fn set(&mut self, other: DescriptorFlags, value: bool)
Inserts or removes the specified flags depending on the passed value.
