Hint

Enum Hint

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum Hint { Nothing, Files, Dirs, Commands, }
Expand description

What a value is, when it is not one of a fixed set: what the shell is asked to complete itself.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Nothing

Nothing a shell can know: a number, a name, free text. What a value is taken for when its field does not say and its type is no path or word. PowerShell offers files all the same, as it does wherever it is answered nothing.

§

Files

A file name, directories among them: what a PathBuf, a String and an OsString are.

§

Dirs

A directory.

§

Commands

A command on the PATH.
