Enum Outcome

Source
pub enum Outcome<V>
where V: Identities,
{ Transferred(u32), Failed(IoFault), NeverIssued { abandoned: Epoch<V>, }, }
Expand description

How a consumer operation ended.

Variants§

§

Transferred(u32)

Completed, with the count its completion reported. A write never completes short: its target completes it in full or with a fault (DI-D-50); a read may.

§

Failed(IoFault)

The operation reached its target and failed, as the backend reported it.

§

NeverIssued

A gated operation an abandoned epoch stopped before it was released: it never reached the kernel, so nothing was written. The epoch was its gate, or – for a write – its own, which no write may join once abandoned (DI-D-35, DI-D-43).

Fields

§abandoned: Epoch<V>

The abandoned epoch that stopped it: its gate if that was abandoned, else its own.
