OrderType

Enum OrderType

Source
pub enum OrderType {
    Market,
    Limit,
    StopMarket,
    StopLimit,
}
Expand description

The type of an order.

Variants§

§

Market

Execute immediately at the best available price.

§

Limit

Rest at a limit price.

§

StopMarket

Trigger a market order when the stop price is reached.

§

StopLimit

Trigger a limit order when the stop price is reached.

Implementations§

Source§

impl OrderType

Source

pub fn requires_price(self) -> bool

Whether this order type requires a limit price.

Source

pub fn is_trigger(self) -> bool

Whether this order type rests until a trigger price is reached.

A trigger order is not a variation on a plain one: sending it without the trigger produces an order that executes now rather than one that waits. Every venue path that cannot carry the trigger checks this and refuses, rather than placing the immediate order.
