pub enum OnRegression {
Reject,
Signal,
}Expand description
What a relying party does when the counter does not increase.
Variants§
Reject
Refuse the assertion. Correct for a relying party that processes assertions one at a time, and the safe default.
Signal
Accept the assertion and report the regression, so the caller can score it. Required for a relying party that verifies assertions concurrently: L3 §7.2 names out-of-order processing as a benign cause of an apparently regressed counter, and a party that hard-fails there locks out legitimate users.
