TrustLevel

Enum TrustLevel

Source
pub enum TrustLevel {
    None,
    SelfAttested,
    BasicAtt,
    AttCa,
}
Expand description

What a verified attestation proves about the credential’s provenance.

Ordered from weakest to strongest. See the module docs for the exact semantics — in particular TrustLevel::BasicAtt chains are not anchored to a configured trust anchor and must be treated as TrustLevel::SelfAttested by policy.

Variants§

§

None

No attestation claim (none format): key possession only.

§

SelfAttested

The credential key itself signed the statement (packed self-attestation): key possession only.

§

BasicAtt

A syntactically valid, internally consistent certificate chain rooted at a self-signed certificate that is not an RP-configured trust anchor. Equivalent in trust to TrustLevel::SelfAttested; always accompanied by warnings::UNANCHORED_CHAIN.

§

AttCa

The chain terminates at an RP-configured trust anchor: real device provenance (AttCA / basic attestation with a trusted root).
