Expand description

In-memory representation of the FST header block.

Fields§

§section_length: u64

Length of the header section (should remain 329 bytes for compatibility).

§start_time: u64

Earliest simulation timestamp recorded in the trace.

§end_time: u64

Latest simulation timestamp recorded in the trace.

§memory_used: u64

Writer memory usage hint captured during dump generation.

§scope_count: u64

Number of scopes written by the producer.

§var_count: u64

Number of variables written by the producer.

§max_handle: u64

Highest variable handle emitted (1-based index).

§vc_section_count: u64

Number of value-change sections present in the file.

§timescale_exponent: i8

Base-10 exponent describing the simulation time unit (10^exponent seconds).

§version: String

Producer version string (null terminated within the 128-byte buffer).

§date: String

Producer supplied date string (null terminated within the 119-byte buffer).

§file_type: u8

File type marker (e.g. Verilog, VHDL, mixed).

§time_zero: u64

Simulation time zero offset stored in the header.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Header

Source

pub fn read<R: Read + Seek>(reader: &mut R) -> Result<Self>

Reads and parses the header block from the provided reader.

Source

pub fn timescale_factor(&self) -> f64

Returns the timescale as 10^exponent seconds.
