The general origin of the event.

This is set by the event source. Note that not all of these are currently used.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Filesystem

Event comes from a file change.

§

Keyboard

Event comes from a keyboard input.

§

Mouse

Event comes from a mouse click.

§

Os

Event comes from the OS.

§

Time

Event is time based.

§

Internal

Event is internal to Watchexec.
