SnapshotManager

Struct SnapshotManager

Source
pub struct SnapshotManager { /* private fields */ }

Implementations§

Source§

impl SnapshotManager

Source

pub async fn complete_session_navigation(&self, session: &str) -> Result<()>

Bound a finished session’s navigation record so it cannot pin every turn snapshot for the full retention window. Keeps the newest REWIND_ACTIVE_KEEP active turns for a possible resume, drops the rest (those turn_*.json files become prune-eligible), clears the redo stack, and releases the workspace rewind lock.

Source

pub async fn begin_prompt( &self, turn: usize, session: &str, prompt: &str, conversation: &[SessionMessage], ) -> Result<PromptCheckpointLease>

Save the exact conversation prefix and workspace before sending a prompt.

Source

pub async fn begin_prompt_with_cancellation( &self, turn: usize, session: &str, prompt: &str, conversation: &[SessionMessage], cancellation: CancellationToken, ) -> Result<Option<PromptCheckpointLease>>

Prepare a checkpoint while allowing the caller to stop waiting. The blocking worker retains the rewind lock through atomic publication and drops its lease on cancellation; no tool may run without that lease.

Source

pub async fn rewind_points( &self, session: &str, ) -> Result<Vec<SnapshotMetadata>>

Enumerate only checkpoints on this session’s current conversation branch.

Source

pub async fn navigate_prompt( &self, turn: Option<usize>, scope: RevertScope, session: &str, conversation: &[SessionMessage], ) -> Result<CheckpointRestore>

Restore files and return their matching conversation, with persistent multi-level redo.

Source

pub async fn recover_pending_rewind( &self, session: &str, ) -> Result<CheckpointRestore>

Complete an interrupted rewind only. Unlike Self::navigate_prompt, this never touches the redo stack, so /rewind-recover cannot overwrite edits made after a completed rewind when there is nothing to recover.

Source§

impl SnapshotManager

Source

pub fn new(config: SnapshotConfig) -> Result<Self>

Source

pub fn enabled(&self) -> bool

Source

pub fn next_turn_number(&self) -> Result<usize>

Source

pub async fn create_snapshot( &self, turn_number: usize, description: &str, conversation: &[SessionMessage], modified_files: &BTreeSet<PathBuf>, prompt_text: Option<&str>, prompt_message_index: Option<usize>, turn_context: Option<SnapshotTurnContext>, ) -> Result<Option<SnapshotMetadata>>

Source

pub async fn list_snapshots(&self) -> Result<Vec<SnapshotMetadata>>

Source

pub async fn load_snapshot( &self, turn_number: usize, ) -> Result<Option<StoredSnapshot>>

Source

pub async fn restore_snapshot( &self, turn_number: usize, scope: RevertScope, ) -> Result<Option<CheckpointRestore>>

Source

pub async fn prune_snapshot_budget(&self) -> Result<()>

Cheap retention prune: enforce the snapshot count budget without reading checkpoint JSON bodies. Safe to call on the per-turn hot path (native::begin_prompt); age-based expiry stays in Self::cleanup_old_snapshots, which needs each file’s created_at.

Source

pub async fn cleanup_old_snapshots(&self) -> Result<()>

Full retention: age-expire checkpoints past max_age_days, then apply the count budget. Age scan reads each candidate’s created_at, so prefer Self::prune_snapshot_budget on hot paths.

Source

pub fn parse_revert_scope(value: &str) -> Option<RevertScope>

Source

pub async fn save_action_snapshot( &self, action: &ActionSnapshot, ) -> Result<usize>

Save an action-level snapshot to disk. Returns the action number.

Source

pub async fn load_action_snapshot( &self, action_number: usize, ) -> Result<Option<ActionSnapshot>>

Load an action-level snapshot from disk.

Source

pub async fn rollback_one_action( &self, action: &ActionSnapshot, messages: &mut Vec<SessionMessage>, scope: RevertScope, ) -> Result<RollbackResult>

Rollback a single action by restoring conversation state and files.

This truncates the messages vector to pre_action_message_count and restores file contents from their pre-action state (requires the workspace manager to have tracked file versions).

Source

pub fn next_action_number(&self) -> usize

Generate the next monotonic action number.

Uses an atomic counter to avoid conflicts between concurrent sessions.
