#[non_exhaustive]pub enum BackendKind {
Cpu,
Cuda,
Metal,
Vulkan,
}Expand description
Compile-time hardware backend the engine was built against.
Engines can ship multiple backends as separate Cargo features
(cpu / cuda / metal / vulkan); this enum captures which
one was selected at runtime via BackendDescriptor.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Cpu
Pure CPU execution.
Cuda
NVIDIA CUDA (requires cuda feature on the engine).
Metal
Apple Metal (requires metal feature on the engine).
Vulkan
Vulkan compute (requires vulkan feature on the engine).
Implementations§
Source§impl BackendKind
impl BackendKind
Sourcepub fn from_config(value: &str) -> Option<BackendKind>
pub fn from_config(value: &str) -> Option<BackendKind>
Parse the canonical config spelling. Case-insensitive;
returns None for unknown values so callers can render their
own diagnostic message.
