#[non_exhaustive]pub enum ClientAuthMethod {
Basic,
Post,
PrivateKeyJwt(PrivateKeyJwt),
}Expand description
How a confidential client authenticates to the token endpoint
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Basic
client_secret_basic - HTTP Basic authentication (RFC 6749
Section 2.3.1), the default and the method servers are required to support
Post
client_secret_post - credentials in the request body, for
servers that do not accept HTTP Basic authentication
PrivateKeyJwt(PrivateKeyJwt)
private_key_jwt - a client assertion signed with the client’s own
key (RFC 7523 Section 2.2), so no shared secret ever leaves it
Set through
OAuthClient::with_private_key_jwt;
unlike the two secret-based methods it needs no
with_secret.
Requires the private-key-jwt feature, the only part of this crate
that needs a JWS signing backend.
