Struct CacheNote

pub struct CacheNote<'a> {

    pub wall_micros: u64,
}
Expand description

A non-authoritative, best-effort cache event (Phase 15.6).

It never affects output bytes and is never consulted by materialize/decode/verify; a cache implementation may ignore it entirely. wall_micros is reserved for a measured per-node cost — the current call sites pass 0, and the promotion policy falls back to a deterministic bytes x kind_weight estimate rather than a wall-clock reading (which would make promotion decisions irreproducible).

Fields§

§effect: CacheEffect

Whether the node was a hit or was just stored.

§kind: NodeKind

What the node computes (drives the promotion cost weight).

§id: &'a NodeId

The content-addressed node id.

§bytes: u64

The node output length in bytes.

§wall_micros: u64

Reserved measured cost; 0 at the current call sites.
