pub enum ValueDomain {
Narrow {
bits: u32,
},
Wide {
bits: u32,
},
Memory,
}Expand description
(NL-030) Whether a signal’s bit width fits STATE’s 64-bit “narrow” value
representation (ARCHITECTURE §6.2) or must spill to a wide, multi-word
one. The boundary is inclusive: exactly 64 bits is Narrow. A declared
memory array is never classified this way at all (NL-120) — Memory
exists on this enum only because netlist-analysis.md’s own ValueDomain
shape includes it; this wave’s MemoryDecl (below) has no value_domain
field of its own to hold it, so this variant is declared but never
constructed this wave (a later wave’s per-memory-access IR is the natural
place for it).
Variants§
Narrow
bit_width <= 64.
Wide
bit_width > 64.
Memory
A declared memory array (NL-120) — never folded into Narrow/Wide.
