A 2D image slice item: renders one axis-aligned cross-section of an uploaded volume as a flat coloured quad.
Faster and simpler than full volume ray-marching. Use it to inspect individual slices of a structured grid without the depth ambiguity of ray-marching.
Fields (Non-exhaustive)§
This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.volume_id: VolumeIdReference to a previously uploaded 3D volume texture.
axis: SliceAxisAxis perpendicular to the slice plane. Default: SliceAxis::Z.
offset: f32Normalized position along the axis in [0, 1]. Default: 0.5.
bbox_min: [f32; 3]World-space bounding box minimum corner of the volume.
bbox_max: [f32; 3]World-space bounding box maximum corner of the volume.
scalar_range: (f32, f32)Scalar range for colourmap mapping [min, max]. Default: (0.0, 1.0).
colour_lut: Option<ColourmapId>Colour LUT. None = default builtin (viridis).
opacity: f32Overall opacity of the slice quad. Default: 1.0.
id: u64Pick ID for unified selection API. 0 = not selectable.
appearance: AppearanceSettingsPer-item appearance overrides (hidden, unlit, opacity, wireframe).
selected: boolIf true, draws an outline ring around the slice quad.
