Storage strategy for HNSW index construction.

Controls how vectors are stored internally in the HNSW index. Different strategies trade off memory usage vs search performance.

Variants§

§

Dense

Dense storage (default). Stores full f32 vectors. Best search quality, highest memory usage.

§

Auto

Automatic sparse/dense detection based on sparsity threshold. Vectors with sparsity above the threshold use sparse storage.

§

Quantized

8-bit scalar quantization (~4x memory reduction). Slight recall degradation but significant memory savings.
