A single data point on an attributes control chart.
Contains the computed statistic, its control limits (which may vary per point for charts with variable sample sizes), and an out-of-control flag.
Fields§
§index: usizeThe zero-based index of this point.
value: f64The computed statistic value (proportion, count, or rate).
ucl: f64Upper control limit for this point.
cl: f64Center line for this point.
lcl: f64Lower control limit for this point.
out_of_control: boolWhether this point is out of control (beyond UCL or below LCL).
z: Option<f64>The point on the standardized scale, (value − cl) / σᵢ, where σᵢ is
this point’s own standard error (the limits are cl ± 3σᵢ, before the
lower one is clamped at 0). None when σᵢ is 0.
When sample sizes vary the limits vary with them, so zone-based run
rules have no single set of zones on the original scale. On this scale
the limits are ±3 for every point: pass these values to
RunRules with limits (3, 0, −3) — the
standardized control chart (Montgomery 2019, §7.2.2).
